Mia - 2529

Female
Meet Mia! She is an adorable tri color, spayed female. Mia was found as a stray, so we think she is around 4 years old. She weighs 44 lbs and is current on all her shots. Mia came to rescue from a Shelter. For unknown reasons she experienced two seizures while at the shelter, so the shelter marked Mia as unadoptable. So BHR rescued her. After a few weeks in her foster home, Mia experienced 4 seizures in one day. She was rushed to the vet and immediately put on anti-seizure medication. We are very happy to report that Mia has been seizure free since being on medication. That was over a month ago. Mia is back to her silly basset ways. She stills loves to stare at herself in the floor length mirror and she loves to toss toys in the air and chase after them. She has a very sweet, gentle personality. She likes to follow her family around and loves to cuddle on the couch. Mia loves to lay out in the sunshine and usually you'll find her on her back with her belly soaking up the rays. She does great around all dogs and people. Mia is more of a special case than other bassets because she will need to be on medication for the rest of her life, but she is so worth it! She is eagerly awaiting her forever home!
