Harvey is a very well-mannered dog about 3.5-4 years old and about 35-40 lbs. He has had his teeth removed, but that has not affected his eating at all. If you soften the kible with water or soft food it just helps him "gum" his food when he eats. He is very quiet and does not bark, but bays. He will sometimes sit and "talks" to you and loves it when you bay back to him. He has been easy to train while at my house, and has picked up instructions quickly. He prefers sleeping on a dog bed, not a people bed. He gets along with my daughter who is fourteen and my other dog Wags who is an older Basset. I have noticed no behavior problems when it comes to other dogs or food, and he walks well on a leash. He is a good companion in the car and does not become anxious and bark or jump around if he has to wait in the car. I think he would make a great companion dog for many years to come.
